CTA stands for Call To Action.

As its name suggests, a CTA is an invitation for the website visitor to do something or go somewhere. This could be to simply go to another webpage on our site, to read a news item or to view a related event. In effect, CTAs are buttons that may contain photographs and short descriptions as well as a link text.

Example of a three column CTA:

If you were to simply type “Find out more about us” it would not be visually appealing. Our CTAs are designed to be attractive and can include images and stylised text.

CTAs are also used for ‘gateway pages’ on our site. These are pages that do not have a lot of end-content themselves: they are intended to route people through to other pages.
